Stinger - mod?

I have a plain old Streamlight Stinger. The light has been really good to me and I want to keep it. I just got a new 3,000 mah battery for it and I like the extra time i'm getting out of the battery.

Is there a way to upgrade the bulb to something brighter, without going to the HP head upgrade kit? I tried that already and didn't like it.

I'm just trying to get my Stinger brighter or maybe is there a light that you could suggest for under 50 bucks that is better than my Stinger that I could carry on my belt for duty use?

Use a Streamlight Strion bulb. It'll give your a whiter beam.

Will that change the candlepower rating at all? The Stinger is 15,000 cp and the Strion is 12,000 cp.
