Stories of McG durability and use.

ok my last thread didnt make the crossover from the old forum or server or something. so im making a new one. basically, since McG ligfhts are the best dang lights made i figured there had to be stories of their durability or at least adventures with them envolved. so if you've got one post it here. that way they will all be together and for all to see.

I remember yaesumofo sayin something about him dropping one a few stories and it actually chipped the concrete and left the light unscathed or something like that....

I don't know why it is but any attempt to rile the mossy (what a b#tch) really cracks me up.

I dropped mine down some metal stairs. It went *clank* *clank* all the way down. Err... only a small dent on the side of the light. Those metal stairs were pretty harsh, though.

Accidentally went swimming for an hour with my Al PD-S in my swimming trunks pocket. I even turned it on underwater when I realized it was with me. I did not see any water inside after turning it on and off underwater (both twisted and piston activated) It's also been droppped a few times with no ill effects.

I have been curious about this if the Ti were AlTiN plated. Aluminum oxide is a very effective abrassive and no surprises in the meeting of bare Ti and HAIII.

I've taken a McGizmo to the pool with the kids. I'll turn it on, drop it in, and let the kids dive for it. Did that last weekend with the Ti Mule. Hard part is getting the light back from the kids...

I've taken McGizmo's for night hikes, often in snow/ice/rain/mud and never have experienced an issue. I know my McGizmo light will function, no matter what the environment, and that is critical sometimes.

Sounds like McGizmo should make a light for GLock!!!
