streamlight has a new lightbox hid on their site(under lanterns). botach has it for $450. copy of their description:

I saw this but thought it was overpriced for what it is. The LEDs are a nice feature, but I can't imagine dealing with the ergonomics of this thing as compared to a X990.

If the streamlight was priced in the $300 range people might go either way. but this thing is 10 pounds. I'd rather use an Amondotech.
 
your right patriot 36. just noticed the weight, not for me. have a sams hid and it performs well.
 
Just received an ad from Brightguy for this priced at $400. Still a little on the high side. Only benefit is if you have an existing "Litebox" you can use the same charging base. The other is that it is made to be exposed to bad weather conditions. I have a AE PL 24 and I am always concerned about exposing it to any water. I would be curious to see a review of this lite. If the price came down I think it might be an option.
