Anyone own the Streamlight UltraStinger?

I can buy one NIB for about $75 and that is a good price considering how much they usually cost.

Still one of my favorites and a regular go-to dog walking light.

$75.00 is a good price if it includes at least an AC charger and cradle. Be aware that they also sell the US as a light only with no chargers. I would recommend getting one with the AC fast charger. (Usually about $110) Add a DC cord if you will want to charge it in your vehicle.

Streamlight part numbers:

78000 Light only
78001 Standard AC charger
78021 AC Fast Charger
78024 AC & DC fast chargers

Yup, my Ultra Stinger resides in the charger which is affixed to the nightstand. Because it is always ready to and offers the coveted guilt-free lumens, it is my go-to light even when I don't *need* that much output.

It is a great starter light and offers much utility. The two nits I will pick are that the body is too smooth as it comes from the factory (I sheathed mine in bicycle inner tube - it works, but at least it's ugly) and it is a difficult light to mod/upgrade. But it is good to go right out of the box.

I use mine on duty. My regular duty light. It can be tough on bulbs...they like to break when dropped and always go out at the WORST possible time (like when I am approaching a driver's window on a night time traffic stop). Hence the reason I carry two other lights on my belt as well.

It will get warm when running for an extended period but it doesn't get hot. Grab a few spare bulbs and use it like you stole it.

This one has both the AC and car chargers. It is at a local pawn shop.

They bought it and a couple of guns off someone. The light was still NIB.

Buy it - you won't regret it. And if you do, you can always sell it, but you probably won't.

I love mine. I alternate between that and my SL-20 when I take the dog out to the park at night. Makes it easy to spot her when you toss a glow in the dark ball with a chuck-it.

Yup,
Buy it that's a good deal.
It was my primary dog walking light too. I covered the barrel with a bicycle handle bar grip (round foam only no finger grooves). Helps when it's cold out. This light was used nightly for about 2.5 years; total daily run time was about 15 minutes out of a one hour walk. I never had any bulb problems but I generally used it with a lanyard and only remember dropping it once.

To enhance the grip I use a Nite Ize Grip'N Clip. The size for a C Mag fits perfectly. It gives you both a handle grip and soft neoprene all around. Slides on and off easily and allows a perfectly balanced carry.

Flash G

What holds the Grip'N Clip in place once it is slid onto the light?
FlDoes it have to be removed to place the light in the charger?
Mag C size seems to be a large diameter how is it that it fits?

It is held on by the friction of the neoprene.

I just have to slide it back toward the tail end about 2 inches and the light slides in and out of the cradle normally. No need to remove.

A Mag C is slightly larger in diameter, but the grip is made out of stretchy neoprene and it fits fine. It has never been stretched to that larger diameter. It can still be removed and reinstalled easily if you want.

It also includes a spring clip that will attach to a carabiner on a belt loop or any ring on a pack or bag.

Love mine and that is a GREAT price...have been using mine with the original battery and bulb for over 3 years now...and I love that Grip 'N clip Flash, I just ordered one...Steve

I have two of them and really like 'em.

Some people don't like the thin body, but my wife likes it because it's easier to grab than an slx-20.

It's a little longer than I prefer, but I *love* the Streamlight warranty.

I would buy it real fast! It is a great light in so many ways.

Question. Why does reading about a light you already have make you want to have another one just like it? Two is better than one I guess.

Buy it and enjoy it. If you don't like it, sell it to me!

I really liked mine because I liked the long narrow barrel and good throw abilities...not to mention guilt free lumens.
