Surefire E1L KX1 good in foggy situation?

I was wondering can the Surefire E1L w/ TIR pierce through fogs?

The E1L's narrow beam is better able to illuminate a distant object in the fog at night than my lights with more spill. The light from the spill is reflected back from the fog to my eyes and causes my eyes to be less sensitive. However, the fog reduces the distance you can see in the dark even using the E1L.

you are definitely right about the spill bouncing of the fog and affecting your eyes.
