Hello!

I am thinking about buying a new Surefire G2 Led.

Is it possible to drive it with 2*Rcr123??? Like the original P60L drop-in...

Thanks for your help!

P60L is what comes in the G2L.....So yes you can use 2 RCR123's, it was made to run off of 9v.

A little search goes a long way.......

2x3.7v RCR123's, nope. (oops, can it really take 9v? Guess I'm wrong. I was probably thinking of three-cell SF setups, 3x3.0v vs 3x3.7v)
2x3.0v RCR123's, yes, but they stink for mAh.

Can some of the experts chime in with using a single 3.7v 17650 with a P60L? Voltage is borderline for regulation but runtime would stomp 2x3.0v RCR123's. And at least the LED won't dim (80 -> 60 lumens) as it heats up like a 2xCR123 - it would be already dim. :-)

Its sure....:naughty:

In fact, it seems to be the same modell as in the 9P or so.
and so it can go up to 9V...

The P60L is used in two and three cell lights (G2L, G3L, etc.) so a pair of 3.7 volt li-ion rechargeables are fine.
