one of the guys at work has a SureFire L4 Digital Lumamax with a KL-4 head, it is a Decent light but expensive, are there any lights presently on the market more reasonable with more power.

Welcome to CPF Chet!

Plenty of lights out there. Steamlight, Fenix, Pelican, Peak, to name a few. Go to the review section.

There are a bazillion lights on the market ... with variing power, cost, beam, ...

It would be best to define your needs (runtime, beamshape, throw or flood, toughness, multilevel or not, UI, cost, application, size, ...) as precise as possible, as the anwers you'll receive will be better fitting, also :D

The L4 is a great light, but it might not be right for your needs. The more specific you are, the more help we can give.

:welcome:

Don't get me wrong... My Surefire C3 rocks...

But if I could go back and do it over I would've got a wolfeyes m90..

Just tell us what you like about the L4/KL-4 head combo and we'll be more than happy to give you a list of lights that meet/exceed your needs (and even possible save you dough..)

If you're looking for something that puts out a wall of light, like the L4. But in a similar sized or smaller package. Forget about cost. The answer is already "No."

Im sure a Fenix P3D Q5 would keep you entertained. :p

I would check out a LumaPower M1, A DereeLight CL1H, OLight T20, Fenix P3D. The versions with Q5 bin LEDs will be the brightest, and they will all be more efficient than the L4 and cost quite a chunk less.

Pila GL2 or GL3 with Cree module, it's cheap, rechargeable and nearly indestructible.
