Hi,

I was just wondering if there is an incan lamp out there that could be used in this set-up  Maybe Lumens Factory could make some changes to the already M3 incan lamp so it could be used in the M4 with 4x lithium cells :twothumbs

If this could be done, what kind of lumen output and runtime would be possible ?

I know I could just use a dummy cell together with the M3 incan lamp, but that is not the option I am looking for, or useing rechargeables.

I am also aware of useing the 9P+A19 Extender and G&P D26 12V or Lumens Factory D26 12V incan lamps.

Bottom line, I like the M4-HA and the tailcap options, but because of the large TurboHead it stays at home most of the time :sigh:

Thank you :)

I'm thinking that you could use the LF EO-M3 in conjunction with 2 x 17670's.

I'm going to go try it for you right now..........

Thank you for your reply, Paul :)
but I was looking farward to use lithium cells only...

Does anybody know if it would be possible to bore out the M3 bezel so it would fit the MN60/MN61

Thanks again! :)

If you mean the M3 bezel rather than the M3T one, yes, you can bore it out, but the pillar of the MN60/61 is longer than the MN10/11, so it will protrude way out through the hole, beyond the focusing point for the reflector. You would end up with a bi-i-i-i-g donut/onion ring beam pattern, lol.

I'm afraid you are stuck with the short-pillar MNxx lamps for the M3 bezel, unless you can work out some way of modding a dead MN10/11 and mounting a WA1111 on it, then boring out the M3 body to take 2x18500. Now THAT would be a sleeper!

That's too bad, cause now you've got me thinking of an idea.

I have a 2x18650 Leef-bodied M4. Head, tailcap, and lamp all stock. If I buy an M3 head, and toss in the right LF lamp; I can switch from a 12v. primary light to a 9v. rechargeable just by swapping the heads and cells. :)

2x 18650 and a MN11 work very well. An EO-M3 (for the M3 head) or EO-M3T (for the M3T/M4 head) are other possibilities with 2x Li-Ions.

Sweet! Nice to know I can use a stock SF lamp with that set-up. Thanks for the info. :)
