Is it possible that the LF EO-E2R or the TL-3 bulb (with fivemega's socket) make enough heat to tarnish the reflector of my E2D? It did tarnish a bit near the base opening for around 2mm wide, all around the bulb.

The reflector is metal. You're sure it wasn't like this to start out with? I have not seen this problem with any of mine.

Not sure if it was like that since I got it back in January. I just noticed that recently.
I've been able to take a good picture. When I look directly at it, the base of the reflector (up to ~3mm from the base hole) looks like around the reflection of the flash, blueish and foggy.
