TerraLUX LED vs Elektro Lumens Blaster

I bought a TerraLUX LED replacement bulb for my 3D incandescent Maglite. The TerraLUX is bright however it stopped working at about 60% of the D cell capacity. This is the second set of batteries that the TerraLUX has stopped working when my ZTS meter still says that it is 60% full.

I take the same cells out of the Maglite and they work fine in my Elektro Lumens Blaster 3P (http://elektrolumens.com/Blaster-3P/BL-3P.html) .

Has anyone else had this experience with TerraLUX LED replacement modules?

Forgive me but just to be clear, are you asserting that the drop-in did not quit working because of some thermal issue? That would be the first thing I'd check; I'd wait an hour (to let it all cool) and fire it up again with the same cells.

I dont think it is a thermal issue.

It just seems the TerraLUX needs a fresh cell to work, at least with my module.
