The Misheard Song Lyrics thread...

Another time we were all over at a friends house. His mom was walking around singing Boy George's "Karmachameleon" (is that spelled right?) She was singing "come ah come ah come ah come ah come ah to me Leon"

I despise the lyric sites that perpetuate bad interpretations of song lyrics by merely re-printing the mistakes of others. Like this lyric from the Ramones 'Let the Punishment Fit the Crime'...

The way you find it on some sites on the web:

"Let the punishment fit the crime
The footprints on the sign the time
The philosophy of the warish crime
Makes a man humble in his prime"



Take a good listen and you'll hear:

"Let the punishment fit the crime
The footprints on the sands of time
The philosophy of the poet's rhyme
Makes a man humble in his prime"



I know, small dif. But if you listen to the song, the lyric is quite clear (for the Ramones at least.) I can't understand how someone misheard the real version. Besides, the top version sucks...what the heck is a 'warish crime' anyway?

Classic Foreigner song called Juke Box Hero was playing just a few days past.....For a moment I actually had this girl I know believing he was singing Poop Box Hero...haha
