Hey, do you think there is any kind of aftermarket bulb i could put in this. I know it's a cheap everready light. Was just wondering if you think i could get an aftermarket bulb to fit for $hi#$ and giggles. Thanks.

Go to Sears ad get the Craftsman LED upgrade bulb...and it will go in just about any P-6 bulb style light you own...regardless of how many batteries (ok, it's rated to 14.5 Volts...so it would work in an 11-D Maglite ...not a bad upgrade for old junkers ou have laying around and turning them into tools once more!

Is that what style that light is in my everready P-6?

He MIGHT actually mean PR type bulb which is indeed what came in your cheap light.

If SMJLED-PR are still out there one of those isn't killer bright but beats the snot out of the rings and artifacts of a stock bulb!

EDIT: If you go for the 3AA-D holders a 5 or even 4 cell Krypton will live for a while on 6.

Yes, PR type bulb...a4d, this is the best upgrade for those lights with out spending more than you should...sure, I guess you could spend $100 and turn it into a cannon, but for $15 you'll have a much better light for the cost with the Craftsman LED...and, when that flashlight bites the dust, go out and get another $3 eveready, and put your Craftsman LED bulb in that. Hope this helps!

With 6AA in battery carriers, you can use, in brightness order:

LMSA601 (6-cell Magstar Xenon)
KPR113 (the famous 4.8v 0.75A Krypton)
HPR71 (6v 10W halogen)
RoP-low (Pelican #3854L) - 6v 11w

That's about the limit with the plastic reflector and bulholder.

Done all 6. Definitely worth doing.

Does anyine know how i can get the bukb out of the assembley w/o breaking it. I've tried a few different ways and not sure how.
Never mind i just figured it out. just a little more force equired then i expected.
