Have a newb question. Just bought a PD 30 and am having second thoughts. Would an Eagletac T10c2 throw alot further than than Fenix?
Thanks for your input.

Considering the T10C2 has more output and a larger reflector, yes, it will have more throw.

Yes, the EagleTac T10C2 does throw further and has a much wider and brighter spill. It puts my TK10 to shame... And I'm embarrassed to even try and turn on my once favorite Surefires in the EagleTac's presence.

Larger reflector + more output = a good bit more throw.

The PD30 is probably around 4000 lux at 1 meter and the T10C2 is around 7000 lux at 1 meter.

:welcome:

The beauty of the Fenix reflector is that it's such a perfect balance between flood and throw. You'd be happier with the EagleTac when viewing distant objects, but for just about everything else, it's hard to beat the Fenix beam profile.

No, T10C2 has also floody beam, that's why it has only 7000lux while producing whooping 280lm.

Like I've said before, I really like my Fenix lights and they are one of the best buys out there...but...
The Fenix PD30 is not comparable to the EagleTac T10C2, nor is it designed to be. The PD30 is more of a larger EDC, while the T10C2 is a pure "tactical light"... While the PD30 is outstanding in its category, the T10C2 (a larger light and different category) will out-throw and out-flood the PD30 by a significant margin.

I received the PD30- nice light-so I am going to keep it. Will probably order the T10C2 in the near future.
