Has anyone given this a shot? Were the results satisfactory?

Just holding three 18650's up to my M6 body doesn't look like they will fit with boring, looks like there isn't enough metal to do it.

leukos is correct: not enough metal to do an 18 mm tribore. If the outside diameter of the M6 were ALL the same as the highest ridges, you could do it, but it's not that way, so you can't.

Arranged three 18650 cells in a tribore configuration on top of the tailcap threads and it appears that even if it were possible, the walls of the threads and O-rings would not be able to take much abuse, if at all :( .

Actually, I would prefer a 4x 18650 body for the M6, two parallel stacks for driving the stock M6 lamps. Might need an NTC for the MN21, but it would be fun runtimes. I would even go for an extention to use Kaidomain's 2D li-ion.
