Two Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Questions re: Voltage Req & Tailcap

Hey folks. I recently purchased a Wizard C2 Pro Nichia. I've emailed Armytek with two questions, received a response very quickly (about 1.5 hours!), but didn't get the answers I had hoped and so wondering if anyone here has any unsanctioned info.

First, Armytek says the Wizard Pro cannot run on 2x CR123, only 18650, which I think is really strange since it's got C2 in the name, but whatever. I use lithium primaries as backup and for very cold weather. Is there any way to achieve this? If not, is there an 18650 right angle head lamp (from any brand) that can also run on CR123?

Second, I'd like a no magnet tail cap. I read somewhere that someone swapped their cap for a no magnet version, several listed in Armytek's parts store...do you know which one would fit? Armytek CS said only that they don't have one for this model.

Some manufacturers don't setup their flashlight or headlamps to run on another power source for one reason or another.

You could try and de-magnatize the tail cap. There are Youtube videos out there on how to do that.

Thanks for your reply! Haven't had a chance to watch the video yet but I had assumed the magnet in the tail cap is neodymium, which I think are permanent magnets? At any rate, I'd rather just swap the cap so I could go back to magnetic charging if I want. I read somewhere that someone had done this so was hoping someone here would know which of the available spare caps would fit, since Armytek won't admit that any do.

I'll have to look into some of those other head lamp options. I really like the Wizard, and was planning on zebra next, but has the same battery limitation. Below zero temps are coming so I think I need to prioritize lithium primaries. I guess a remote battery pack is another option but those are so unwieldy to carry...

In case anyone else is curious, Armytek CS checked with one of their engineers and followed up with me. The following tail cap does fit the Wizard Pro C2 Nichia (and probably other Wizard C2 Pro variants):

I haven't yet searched for another source but to get it from Armytek in China is shipping cost prohibitive...
