UE07 tape switch compatible with the Surefire E2DL ?

Is the UE07 remote tape switch compatible with the Surefire E2DL Defender ?
Are there other tape switches which will also work ?
Please forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere.

Yes, the UE07 tape switch is compatible with the defender body. I have a brand new UE07 available that I was going to put up on the market place. PM me if interested.

I'm assuming you want to use it for a weaponlight.

If you have the current dual output E2DL, I wouldn't use it as a weapon light. There have been reports that the light cycles between modes during firing. Apparently the batteries loose contact for a fraction of a second, causing the LED to switch output levels.

And aside from that if you have to flash your light on and off you might go to low when you need high. Tactically it's just not a good idea.

The UExx will work.
However, I've also read that SureFire's dual output lights such as the E2DL, E1B, E1L and E2L can 'cycle'/'toggle' from mode to mode under the impacts of recoil.
