Hi can any point me in the right way, to find the thread showing how to wire up so i can use it for chargeing rcr123's many thanks DocD

The pics of my charger in the link I cut the + & - signs out of an AW battery label. I just did one for someone & printed some signs out on a printer. Pretty simple. If you don't want to mess with it, send me a PM & I'll mail you some various designs already sized up.

That silver and yellow RCR in the picture is scaring me. I feel like it's going to catch fire any minute...lol. I guess I'm not an "off brander" any more..:p

I think I've asked this question before...

What guage wire did you use for your mod of the WF-139?

I used 20 awg that I have laying around. 22 awg will be fine too. I wouldn't worry too much about it since the wires aren't very long & there's only about 350 mah flowing through them.

I have four of them & I've had them for years. I rarely use them which is probably why they still work. Can't say the same for the charger I had for them.

If you didn't know, I believe these were pretty much the first rechargeable 123s out. These are the ones JS Burlys sold. They're actually shorter than a CR123 & they're protected too. The shorter length comes in handy sometimes. I use them mainly for testing when building mods. I've had better performance with these over those junk Ultrafire's & Trustfires. :thumbsdow

Thanks. I've got some 24 awg wire coming in from navships (eBay), but know where I can get some 20 or 22 awg wire locally in small amounts.

Do the charging lights on the charger work while charging 123's after performing this mod?

Yes the charger works as it normally does, charging lights and all. Just be sure the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.

OK, I'm going to bring my charger into work tomorrow and have the gals over in our circuit board assembly department do the solder job.

Why them instead of me? Because I'll ruin and they'll do it right, lol.

How do you get the back off? There's one screw at the top, but the bottom part seems stuck on pretty good.

I don't have it but usually the other screw is under the back label if there is one. Rub with finger to see if there are any holes under.

Probably to keep the costs down, but also note that the RCR slots do not have any + or - indicators on them.

Perhaps they made the plastic shells and forgot to put the polarity indicators in the moulds, so opted not to connect them for safety reasons.
