I have the WF-606A Q5 (DX sku 14909) and was wondering whether the tube would fit as an extension to the 1xAA C3 (sku 1993). I'm running the 606A off a CR2 so I have the tube spare and want to put it to good use i.e. buy a C3 ;-)
Official DX measurements:
606A (sku 14909): 6.18 in x 1.1 in x 1.1 in
C3 (sku 1993): 3.78 in x 0.79 in x 0.79 in
C3 2xAA extn tube (sku 4438): 3.03 in x 0.79 in x 0.79 in
Now I was expecting the 606A tube to be 1.1in (27.9mm) thick but when I measured it, it was exactly 20mm (0.79in perhaps!) However, length is 80mm (3.15in) as opposed to 77mm (3.03in) of sku 4438.
I'm confused whether it can fit the C3 1xAA. Can someone who has both (sku 1993 and sku 14909) please oblige? If it fits, could you please see if the extended C3 works off 2xAA? I've read posts where some tube was fitting perfectly but there was no electrical contact.
