It's an expensive, high quality Short-arc light. If you're looking for the ultimate hand help throw light look no further. There is a lot of information available about this light through the search function under Maxabeam.

... and this is an example of what it can do. Those trees are >900 yards away (nearly 3,000 feet). And it was on low power, not even high...
