Which would give a smaller spot P7 or MCe?

I am wondering which led would produce a smaller spot the Seoul P7 or the Cree MCe in a regular Mag reflector

Anyone have both and want to comment?

I think the MC-E because it's die's are closer together.

I wouldn't feel comfortable just yet it making that assertion.

I'm not sure theres a significant difference between the actual die spacing between the two,but the primary optic on the MC-E magnifies the dies to a greater extent than does the silicon on the P7,that magnified image is what the secondary optics and consequently our eyes "see".

Its been said its even harder to get rid of the donut in the MC-E.

Give it some time and see what optics and reflectors become available,new releases are slated for both.

I haven't gotten all my MC-E Mag parts together yet,so I can't answer about the Mag reflector,but I'm sure someone will soon that has both.

My P7 with a LOP reflector from KD is very smooth. Like butter.

All things being equal the P7 will have the smaller spot size than the MC-E without a doubt. That is not necessarily a good thing though.
