For some new mods I need some Titanium Grade 2 (3.7035)
I could need a short rod perhaps 50-100 millimeter long with a diameter of 40-50 millimeters.
Beside this I would need some 200 millimeter long rods with a diameter of 30 millimeters.

Can someone help or tell me, where to buy such small quantities?

Thanks for your help!

Jochen

try ebay
you can find lots of bar on ther ending tonight
this was at $46
"THIS IS A MILL END FROM MACHINE SHOP SCRAP. 6AL-4V. 1-7/8 inch diameter. 5 3/4 inch length. S&H 7.00. "

Thanks for your help!
Normally I buy at eBay, but since weeks you nearly only find 6AL-4V Titanium.
Buying a 12" rod will not help me a lot, when I just need half an inch to make a bezel ;)

Titanium Joe also often has decent deals on surplus Ti, and will cut small pieces for you. I have found him good to deal with in the past. Not sure about overseas shipping.

Just curious... why do you specifically want grade 2 titanium if you can get the grade 5 easily? Besides, I believe grade 5 machines easier (heard grade 2 is gummy to machine) and has better mechanical properties (higher tensile/yield strenght).

Actually I find CP Ti easier to machine than 6AL4V. And the color is different, some prefer the darker charcoal color. It is true that it isn't as tough as the 6AL4V though.
