i have a pair of 6AA/2D battery holders , they are made by ray-o-vac. $10 each shipped.

Are they 6 in series or 3P 2S?

im not sure what 3P 2S i but im pretty sure they are 6 in series. the orientation of the batteries are 4 of them are negative down and positive up and the other 2 batteries are negative up and positive down. im new to all the technical terms.

I believe they're 3S2P.

If you have a volt meter, put batteries in and measure it. If it's 3+ or - Volts it is 3P 2S; if it's 4.5 V it's 2p 3S; if its 9V it is 6S.
