I wonder if the Proton will use that technology? I have a few years to wait to see it arrive.

The original prototype Proton had a 60 lumen Jupiter and two 3mm LEDs with variable output for both red and white LEDs. A year after the prototype came out with a Jupiter, it shows up as overdriven 5mm LEDs. Not my idea of being close to the original and a no-go with the 5mm LEDs. If Nichia can get those 113 lumen per watt LEDs going... the Proton could be a great light.
