what will surefire M1+a19 do?

Hi all

first off i am sorry if this is the wrong forum but it seemed like the appripiate place. so i have a freind that has a surefire M1 illuminator and he has and A19 extender so today he asked me today if it is ok to put it on the M1 i said i dont know and would ask you all. so will it work? will it blow the led? will it just extend the runtime? what will it do?

I think the M1 uses a resistor to limit (not regulate) current. I would recommend against running it on two cells.

Likewise, I urge him not to attempt this.
I have no idea quite what will happen but my best guess is that the M1 is not designed to handle the two SF123A.
