my freind has both,(one used to be mine) and he says there is no differnce AT ALL.

the M1 IR to me, seems like a joke.
it has only 1(one) 5mm IR LED in it and it cost so tooting much.
i rather buy an edison 5watts IR LED and mod some cheapie light.
