Awww yeah, Kai was sitting silently while DX was releasing a couple of XR-E lights, here he comes with a whole lot of XR-E and even a P4 light!

Ahh, but the catch? Why are most of the lights P4 using 18650 only rated about 76 lumens but lasting only 2 hours to %50?
The XR-E lights are slightly better at 110 lumens for 2.5hours to %50.

While the JETBeam C-LE runs 80 lumens for 2 hours on an AA cell?

Odd. Elektrolumens DeCree is running 170+ for 2hrs.+ on an 18650 with a Cree...They can't have the genuine emitter. Just can't.

Exactly... doesn't make sense with those number. Perhaps they're using some -%50 efficient circuitry? LOL!

I do like this one tho, looks like the good ol Huntlight FT-01

Sure does look like the FT01.

Also, on the output, I get 130-143 lumens as the raw output for a P4 at 700 mA (estimating 165% of the 350 mA output from the datasheet). 110 lumens isn't great, but I guess that's about right if it loses 20% or so.

The 110 does seems about what you'd expect -- I think lens transmission losses and reflector losses in all but very premium lights are around 20-25%, aside from exotic solutions like TIR optics. What doesn't make sense though are the other lights on there claiming 800+ mA and 80 lumens out the front. Where are 60% of those lumens going?
