that used to be a really popular light on this here forum it probably still is but it just no making the waves that it used to because of its 5mm leds. anyways thats a rather durable light and there was one model called the marine that would float.

From the website: "It comes equipped with lithium batteries for water buoyancy ..."

Now there's a reason for lithium batteries I never thought of ... :ohgeez:

Pre TSA I carried one on the road. During the first days of the baggage manglers one pulled it out of my carryon. Looked at it funny, then at me. "It's a phaser" I proclaimed. Seemed to satisfy his curiosity.

Good lights but nothing new or earth shaking from them lately.

You will find they are unique, and very very useful for long power outages.

They will last weeks on one set of batteries!

Crap! I got to stop looking at this site! I feel like a monkey that keeps dropping the shiny thing in his hand to look at yet another. I forgot about these, but a couple of years ago, I really wanted one. The only mistake they made in the video was the garage shots...showed that the light was not super bright. That being said, I love lights that run on lithium AA's. This light also does all kinds of cool stuff. Now I want one again!

this light can be useful, especially with its long runtime. It wouldn't hurt to add it to my collection. it would just hurt my wallet. :awman::lolsign:

I've got a 4Z Elitemax. I really like its versatility and UI.
All the new LEDs blow it away for brightness but as a piece of design it is a favourite.
Mine lives in my bedside drawer and it gets used over quite a few others....

Who said water and lithium don't mix?

they use a picture of one in the upper right hand corner of flahslightreviews. They are fun lights. I played with mine trying to "freeze" my ceiling fan with the variable strobe mode. I don't like their website, that runtime chart at the bottom shows the "leading" 7 led flashlight spanking Eternalight's *** at every moment along that curve. Why would you advertize such an embarasment?

An EternaLight is definitely one any "card carrying" flashaholic should have. Mine is only the lowly Derringer, but even it is a useful little light, especially as an all-purpose trip light. Excellent for reading in bed.

I've recently traded for an ergomarine and could see myself using it in a number of different opportunities..

It only lacks a few things that I look for in a light like;
size efficiency (it floats for crying out loud!)
brightness (throw)
hands-free operation (headlamp)
ease of battery changes (four stainless steel screws? are you kidding me?)

What it does have:
many fun operator modes including strobe, SOS and dazzle.
smaller than an economy size box of breakfast cerial.
Takes standard batteries.

I have the EliteXRay. A good light, but the PWM bothers my eyes for reading, so I use the E0 for that purpose. It's a light I would definitely take traveling though.
