Just want to confirm my understanding that the only difference in the P1 and the P2 is that the P2 has a clicky switch instead of a twisty on the P1. Correct?

Correct...However, you do twist the head to get to "turbo" mode on the P2D....

I ordered my P2D-CE with diffuser tip and 3 E2 lithiums from fenix-store last night around midnight. Today, it is already listing as shipped! That's FAST! I am really excited about this, it will be my first really expensive(in relative terms) flashlight. In fact I just got in the mail today an MTE 1AA that I ordered from DX 1.5 weeks ago. That little light is really bright, much better than the RiverRock 1xAA. It is noticeably 2-3 times brighter than the RR. I am so antsy, I just can't wait for my Fenix to get here.

It is also worth noting that the P2D is a bit longer than the P1D.
