Tiablo T9 or A9? If you mean the A9, the Tiablo A9 will easily out throw the Fenix T1 and Tk10. The Fenix T1 and TK10 are designed as tactical lights, the Tiablo A9 is specialized for maximum throw.

if you want to know numbers, at an estime the TK10 has 6000 lux at 1m and the A9 20000 lux.

Re: T1 vs T9 throw

Check the "flashlight reviews" sub-forum. You'll find many useful reviews with good beamshots there.

In short, yes TK10 throws 100m, T9 throws 200+m, no problem.

by very very far, the A9...its both brighter overall, and has a smooth, throw-specialised reflector. the T1/Tk10 is more useful overall though.

Actually, the "throwier" lights are more useful to me.

ah, then the A9 is good. Generally "useful" means good throw with plenty of spillbeam so you dont trip over something. Of course, useful varies with people.

I think the DB S V2 is near the same as the A9, the Fenix T1 is a flood light to the A9.

DBS v2 is better than A9.

P7 won't fit to A9, it's too big. Reflector in A9 was designed to work with Cree not SSC.

In my opinion the DBS V2 has a very little bit more throw, but please notice a little little bit.

Re: T1 vs T9 throw

Another light to consider for maximum throw is the Eagle 8W Far Projection Rechargeable. Here is a link to it: http://powerledlighting.com/Eagle8WBuy.html
is I emailed them asking a little about the LED emitter and how it compares to the Tiable A9. Here is the response:

Dear Ryan,

Our new Eagle 8W rechargeable flashlight is about 180 lumens.
The LED emitter is made by us. It has better thermo management than
Cree, Lumileds or Seoul. The size of our reflector is about the same as
Tiablo A9, however the light source is 1.5X1.5mm , smaller than the
typical 5mm dome Cree Q5, K2 TFFC or Seoul P4, which means the output
light beam of Eagle 8W is more parallel and can reach further than any of the
LED flashlights using Cree Q5, K2 TFFC or Seoul P4.

Our Eagle 8W is not as bright as the Tiablo A8 and A9. Compared to Tiablo
A8 and A9, the light beam has a little bluish tint, like the beam of our Slim.
But it has the narrowest light beam for this size. If you are looking for a light for
long distance use, it will be the right choice.

Best regards,

Fong Suo

Re: T1 vs T9 throw

If it isn't already clear, the throw king of the <6v LEDs is the DBS v2. And phantom is right, the difference isn't tiny, as some think - of couse it is barely noticeable at 1m, but it is obvious at 200m.

I've never heard of the eagle 8w, anybody else?

Re: T1 vs T9 throw

The problem is(referring to the Eagle 8W) that the Cree and Seoul both have a ~ 1, die size, smaller then the dome size and the LED's die size(1.5mm). Looking at output, it is very doubtful that the Eagle will out throw the A8/A9 or the DBS. Looks like an interesting light though.

So to answer the OP's question(repeat of what everyone else has said), the A9 will throw further then the T1/T10, and the DBS will throw further then that, and some mods will throw even further. It has to do with reflector geometry and size.

Lots of light would come out, but if it's anything like the Lux V, then it's inherently floody and difficult to focus. Once you fine tune the focus, as StefanFS seems to have done here: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/192740 you get a massive flood with a massive hotspot that is able to throw decently. Whatever happens, it'll be interesting when Tiablo and the other throwers get their hands on this emitter.
