What to you folks recommend for AA twisties? I'd like something similar to the E01 simple reliable decent runtime... Does it exist?

The inova x1 looks interesting. Where is a good place to buy one?

Oh and how do I make sure I get a Gen. 2?

Peak LED has several that can be ordered with a AA body. I've read good things about the Pacific, but I don't have one. I have a Kilmanjaro and a McKinley and I like them both. Their lights are tough as nails and reliable. The best way to order is to call them. Their website doesn't give you all the options that are available.

Gerber infinity ultra or ultra M.
Rockynational has the latest and brightest gen ,others have them but I dont know if they are the latest and brightest.
You have to check the #s to be sure.
manufacterer #s should be 22-80027 for the M model and 22-80012 (or higher for both)for the standard. (white light)
Anything below these numbers may be old stock and not as bright.

The Fenix Civictor is still a nice little 1AA twistie. It's just got a 1w Luxeon and one mode, but delivers maybe 30 lumens for a couple hours. I don't know if it's still available new, but someone around here would probably sell you one.
