There aren't many flashlights out there that tarnish, but there are a few, and it seems that quite a few people out there like the look of aged brass/copper/silver. So show it off; I want to see what you're proud of, and I don't mean it that way. :D

I've only had my Wee NS for a week or so, but under my careful ministration it's developed a nice even haze at this point. I'll post a picture of it when I get home from work tonight.

here's a quick shot of my brass.
no real long lasting patinas on these as they see brasso and flitz on a regular basis.

bunch of matterhorns, pacifics, mckinleys, baltic, shasta and quite a few
rainiers. a caribbean is on it's way. :)

brass.jpg

The HA/Brass Pacific with the SAK is one of my primary EDC's as is the
Bi-flupic'd ssc p7 Rainier next to it. the 2AA Rainier is my bedside light.
Polished matterhorn on a brass chain around my neck(shares time with
mcgizmo sapphire now) and one on each keychain.

The lights with the momentary pushbuttons are modded into 2-mode lights.
(twist high/pushbutton low) They all are either modded with U2SWOH P4's or
4000K high cri seouls including the aaa matterhorns using a dorcy boost
circuit. The only luxeon is a k2 tffc stainless rainier. shasta 1 led N cell and
mckinleys 7led are of the 5mm snow variety. the brass adds a golden
warmth to the beam of the 5mm leds.

I need to show this picture to people who think I'm nuts because I own one expensive flashlight.

If you want to show a large collection, you should show Dababricata's surefire collection: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/203101

======

MW, you have a nice collection of Peak lights.

Dafabricata's collection is the one I showed my gf to convince her that my collection of about 15 (half are off brand) lights wasnt big or expensive at all!

MW I think I saw somebody on here the other day with a brass Mini-Mag that was gold plated. I think that would make a nice addition to your collection ;)

Thanks!

I am drawn in by their simplistic beauty. other than these peaks, i have a pretty short list of lights. i really enjoy the modding aspect of this hobby.

Most of the brass lights in that image are $40-50. People don't know what they're missing with Peak

Yep, Peaks are fairly inexpensive. they do show up in the Marketplace from time to time..but they dont last long. :nana: :grin2:

Robyn and Co. are great to deal with. right now there's a 25% sale on all their
edc lights. I think i'm going to order one of their Ti lights this time around. the Ti Caribbean looks like a nice peice.

Clint, I had no idea you loved Peaks *that* much! Wow; nice collection!

Clint,

You are probably the best promoter for Peak. If I don't know any better, I would think you work for them (I believe I read somewhere that you did have a working history with them).

I saw your post on the Peak sub forum and you gave a very good overview of their lights ... much more informational than Peak's website:thumbsup:. I've been checking your post to see what combination I want to get to take advantage of the March Madness sale.

Although it does seem that way, i have no history with them.
i'm a regular cpf'er just like anyone else here. Just helping to promote
lights from a company i feel deserves the attention.

The sticky peak thread is info from a CD catalog that Robyn(from peak) sent
me. I simply converted it to web form. Anyone can call up and request a
free cd catalog.

let me know what you get, its always interesting to see what combo people come up with. :)

yep, and it sports a 1980 bulgarian patina so i had to throw it in the pic. :grin2:

its a clip for a 1945 mosin m44 carbine.
guys at the range nicknamed it "the cannon"... the sound and flame front
from the m44 is always a crowd pleaser.

Energie, that is absolutely wonderful. i am without words. :faint:

If you are willing to machine another, I'll trade you my Ti Ex10 body + a bunch of cash for a Brass Body.. or i'll just sell the Ti Ex10 Body and give
you a bunch more $$$.

you can say no thanks..but if you ever decide to make another, i am always around. :)

Thanks for the kind words.
I´m a big fan of McGizmo. I study his ingenious constructions since joining CPF and I´ve made a couple of McGizmo-style lights, just for learning.
Therefore I would never sell one of this clones, with respect to the master.
