I have a quick question. I have a Fenix L1D, with a L2D and P2D spare body. I mostly use 3.7v Li-Ions with it (either a single RCR123A or a single R14500). I may lose most of the modes, but I like the added brightness.
Anyway, is there another compatible body that would allow me to use an R17670 or perhaps an R18650? I realize that stacking two RCR123A's (or two R14500's) in a body that could hold one of those larger batteries would double the voltage and most likely blow my LED. That isn't something I intend to do. I'm simply looking for longer runtimes than the single Li-Ions I currently use now.
EDIT: Would a P3D body fit, and allow me to use an R17670??
EDIT2: Oooo... I think I answered my own question! See here. According to 4sevens, the P2D head (which is equivalent to my L1D head) can be used with a 2x123 (aka the P3D body) so long as ONLY a R17650 is used. Alright... so am I correct to assume that the 17650's are protected, and the 17670's are not? If so, where can one purchase the 17650's? I can't find them anywhere on 4sevens.
EDIT3: Okay... I figured out that the 17670's seem to just be an improved version of the 17650's (I think), and are still protected. So, I guess my question is... does anyone know if the 18560's will fit in 4seven's custom tactical body here?
