Still into making my own CR2 & 10280 type of lights.
For the 2 black flashlight in the middle, Left= EZ XR2, Right is EX CR2 Clone,
made by cutting-down of Tank 007 E07 (AA) flashlight.

It's slightly smaller, so CR2 won't fit. I have it running on a XENO 14250 Lithium Primary.

Re: NiteCore EZ CR2 Clone

Well, I tried 14250 li-ion & the led turned angry blue,
so I decided to put a XPG-R5 in there instead.
From experience, I know the XPG can handle 14250 even direct drive.

The head is glued, but I managed to get it open:

Looks like a Golden Dragon?

Now, swapped in a XPG-R5, this is the Cutter R5 on 10mm Square board,
which is thinner than the round board. There's not much room in the head.

Beam shot side by side with Nitecore EZ CR2, typical XPG results,
Overall brighter & more flood with bigger hot spot.

Hey ma_sha1 how well does the XENO 14250 cell work? I thought they were rated at a very low discharge rate like 50mAh. I have been thinking about cutting an E07 down and using a 14250. I am glad to see the XP-G works well in this. I may use that or go with an Osram Golden Dragon Plus for more throw. Does the tail simply unscrew? I know how to get the head apart.

That battery didn't last, went dim pretty quick.
The light became smaller & smaller & went on to become the Larry Light CR2 clone running 14250 Li-ion here:

I couldn't get the tail open, so I cut it & re-jointed.
