Any LED lights to out throw my Eagle Tac M3C4 SMO (XM-L) ?

It seems I'm out of options. I'm one to go for the most powerful LED lights, so I'm not sure I can find something to beat this one (with the exception of the SR90 and other way too expensive lights, to say nothing about their bulkiness).

I'd like to hear from those who also own the Eagle Tac M3C4 SMO (XM-L) - what other light do you also own that out throws the M3C4 ?

There's the Vara2000 that'd beat it, but are there any other LED lights feeding on 18650 batteries that'd out throw my M3C4 by a significant margin ?

I've looked around these forums for the last week and I've perhaps found a few contenders, but at the end of the day, I can't be sure.

Best would be for someone who has this light and others, to provide me with hands on comparisons.

Many thanks in advance.

I bought the EagleTac M3C4 XM-L in January, and love it. I don't have a light that outperforms it, but saw yesterday that EagleTac is coming out with the MX25 L2 and a Turbo version for more throw. Looks like it will compete with the Olight SR90. I don't know price on it or anything yet, but looks very interesting. Here's the link I found from another thread: ClickHere

Indeed, this looks like a likely candidate :) thanks for the link.

Should be end of this month/early next month.
Im a dealer so i know, here are the figures from ET vs the M3C4 XM-L. evidently they cant drive all xm-l to the fullest, but i can reveal that price point will not be significantly further off from that of the M3C4 XM-L so it might be a good deal

Lux @ 1meter
Triple XML T6 LED: 46800 lux
Single XML T6 LED: 13800lux

Triple XM-L T6 Lumen Output: Lower Low/Low/Med/High/Turbo
LED Lumen: 34/90/249/552/1164
ANSI FL-1: 28/78/218/480/1011

Single XM-L T6 Lumen Output: Lower Low/Low/Med/High/Turbo
LED Lumen: 27/80/242/504/911
ANSI FL-1: 25/74/220/453/820
(All AUX modes are operating at turbo boost brightness)

This is good news for sure - I'll keep an eye out for this new triple XML M3C4.

There is a mistake, Triple XML has 13800lux (more flood) and Single XML has 46800 lux (more throw).

For example Olight M3X out throws M3C4 single XM-L. I measured 39 000 lux with M3C4 and 55 000 lux with M3X... Also new Fenix TK41 should have around 55 000 lux.

How interesting :) Um, I was just looking at the Olight M3X days ago. What gave me pause is the the 10-minute meltdown though. How concerned should I really be about this ?

Also, correct me if mistaken, but the M3X only has two modes ; 60 and 700 lumens - this also caused me to re-consider the M3X- but darn it's a powerful light though and I'm totally drawn to this aspect.

It throws very well considering that it is only 60 lumens. But I didn't measure lux.

The Fenix TK41 will have almost 500 meters throw to .25 lux. Your ET will have ~390 meters to .25 lux. 100 meters more is significant, don't you think? Also, it has a much lower low mode than the Eagletac. The only difference is it eats 8 aa. I will buy it most likely, but i will also buy more duraloops. If I had the ET, I'd have 4 spare 18650 at any given time. Its easy to carry them, I use my eye glasses case. Not sure it will fit 16 AA batteries though? And it might not come with a holster either, or diffuser.

I didn't know the Fenix TK-41 threw more than the ET M3C4 - though I've looked at many beam shots for the TK41 over the last few weeks and I'd come to suspect it was a powerful thrower. I might get it. I'd get it right now were it not for the 8 AA it eats. I'm considering the Olight M3X too.

The TK41 isn't sold yet...

what is the equivalent to .25 lux.....?

In other words, wait, sorry, first, a full moon would give if IRC, .25 lux or 1 lux. Its almost nothing. So imagine a TK41 500 meters away, shining at you. This "to .25 lux" isn't the effective range of the light. An effective range would be up to 400-450 meters max, not that you'll be even able to see that far, but yes, the ET's effective is around 350 meters. A whole 100+ meteres more of usable light. So you asked what is the equivalent to .25 lux. well, its really not alot of light, just very dim at that distance. Maybe someone can chime in and explain better? Oh, and BTY, the TK40, (not tk41) has only 18,000 lux. Less than Raidfire Spear or DBS. Rated at 275 meters to .25 lux. Not really a thrower in my mind.
