Solarforce PTS2 and PTS3 Tape Switch compatibility with Surefire

I have the Surefire G2 and I ordered these 2 switches because it says on the website I've ordered from that they are compatibile with all Surefire G series. Well, they aren't and they don't work on my G2. The website appologized and gave me my money back saying they were missinformed. But I don't understand really why they don't work on my G2: The caps of both switches screws all the way to the G2 body just fine, and the metal coil inside the cap of both the PTS2 and PTS3 is long enough so it makes contact with the batteries inside the G2, so why won't it work?

The edge of the body (metal part) after the threads need to make contact with the inside ring of the switch to connect to negative. Try using a copper or aluminum washer, should work.
