so i was cleaning the oven and i set my Arc AAA on the windowsill.. now there are no screens in the windows, and the window was open a few inches since i was spraying and i didn't wanna irritate my asthma..

along comes the cat..

jumps in the windowsill.. checks out the arc aaa.. decides to bat at it a little.. and bats it right over the plastic edge on the windowsill and the little arc helplessly plummets 25 feet to the cement.

DAMN!

go down and get it.. not even a scratch? well, there appeared to be a scratch.. but i spitshined it and it came right off..
twisted the head.. no light..

change battery..

twisted the head.. BAM!

the arc survived what a mere mortal battery could not.

these things can be TOUGH.

Edit: Thanks T.I.N. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great news!
I just received my Arc AA in the mail and put it on the keychain. The Micro goes in the pocket so it won't get scratched up. Good to hear that the AAA/AA series are so tough to life's little screw-ups.

I have always thought of using the Arc AA as a defensive weapon. It makes me wonder what will happen if I actually throw it at someone :p

Hmmm - just what I'd expect from a cat - always into mischief and trying to break your precious items1 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

LOL.... True, very true

I used mine for all kinds of things. For instance, I used it instead of a rock to get my sons foam glider out of a tree on more than one occasion. I had to throw it up 15-20 ft. in a tree to knock the glider loose. It hit the grass over and over and hasn't bothered the function in the least.

That's awesome!! I just ordered my 1st ARC-AAA today. It's great to know it can take whatever I "throw" at it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
