Something leaking out of Fenix UC40UE charging port

Hi guys,

I have two UC40UE lights which I use for floundering in shallow waters.
I used them only two times and charged only yesterday and found something leaking from one of them:

Do you have any idea what this could be. It's really hard to scrub off, if kind of that thing which comes out of old batteries but I checked battery, nothing there is leaking.
I cleaned it out with tooth brush tried to wipe but few hours later there was few bubbles like water but harder.

I'm 100% sure:
- I closed charging port with protector before submerging them in the water
- There was no water inside charging port not after first use and not after second use and not when I plugged USB cable

Don't know what it is, but it isn't good for sure. Don't use the light/battery anymore, and contact your dealer/Fenix is my suggestion.

I bought lights from Fenix Outfitters and returned both of them. Fenix Outfitters did refund including shipping.

As I understand Fenix wanted to get both lights to inspect and compare as they never saw something like that before.

Thanks for the update. It would be nice to know what Fenix found with yours. So, did you replace those with another brand? If so, what did you get?

I just purchased 2 of the UC40UE. One was fine and the other DOA. I bought them on ebay and am waiting to get my replacement. Sounds like I better keep these flashlights out of the water.
