For some unknown reason I'm getting this urge to buy an original G2. I know which led D26 I want to use with it. It has a minimum voltage of 3.6v, so I have been thinking li-on rechargeable. I know it won't take an 18650, but will it take a 17650? The only 16650s I can find are eFest. Are they any good. Or should I go the route of to RCR123s or two 16350s (the D26 will take up to 13v)?

Timothybil,
It should take a protected 17670. I have a G2 & AN14, and I use a conductive CR123a delrin spacer, and 2 protected 17500 cells.

I didn't know they made 16650 cells. I wish AW made a 17350 cell.

I'm using a protected AW 17670 in my G2 Nitrolon. Got it from LightHound. Fits nicely. Works great. :)

Check out the Keepower 16650 at Illumn (formerly illumination supply). They are smaller around than the 17670 and have higher MAH as well (2,000).

The P60 will light up with a single lion but with only about half the brightness and the beam color is quite yellow :)
