citibank scam emails out and about

Hi folks,

Got a couple of really good spoof emails tonight asking me to verify my email address for a citibank account. Very good spoof, html email that didn't look like html and so the link they posted wasn't really going to citibanks website at all, but to a static IP address. Then they open a popup so quickly that you might never notice that the main page has a fraudulent address.

So if you got an email asking you to go verify your email address, and you did, you might want to go and let the real citibank folks know that you just gave all your personal info to a crook.

I knew immediately it was a fraud since it came to me on an email address that I use for software support and not for communications with any body like that.
