Know of any good water proofing spray?

I bought a cheap jacket a few weeks ago, and was wondering if I could make it more water proof. It rained a little at the football game tonight, and the rain beaded off on my friends jacket, while on mine it was pretty much absorbed into the outer layer of the jacket. :thumbsdow

Is there any product that will help my jacket? I've seen them around before, but I want to know if there are any good brands that work, if at all?

The jacket outer layer is made out of some nylon type material. It is supposed to be made out of some kind of breatheable material, but for $40, I doubt it is up to par with gor-tex and the like.

So, can you recomend me anything?

Check out the products at www.grangersusa.com. They work. I used the g-wash and wash in waterproofing for my jacket and it works well. I ordered it online at REI and had them ship it to my local store to save on shipping.
