Well...um...it wasn't. I just picked up a 119v HCRI Sundrop XR-U Head and a 2x123 Ti Pak. I think I just reached the pinnacle of flashaholism.

Cool set up! A Pelican case Nalgene bottles? I think? Spare batteries! cool beads!

Who made the beads, and what is in the bottles?

Excellent setup!

Wow....I have been looking for a flashlight to use around the house, so naturally I went online. I started reading, and a week later I don't have a flashlight and I can't make up my mind because I like to overdue everything.
Custom and modded flashlights? Yes please. The work that is done to these lights is awesome. Kudos to the people who have the talent to do this.
Anyway....I will be here lurking and reading, and probably just pick up something that really catches my eye. Custom or not I will be very happy with all the choices there are for modern flashlights.

Dog,

Your wallet will not be as heavy as it is now! But, you will love the lights and things you will find here, most made to last a lifetime, and be passed down.

Best of luck,

RL

Thanks. The Ti beads are from CountyComm. The bottles hold a Malkoff M31 219B and M61 219B. I can use the Ti VME head on the 1cell or 2 cell McClicky Pak.

I have a Ti. VME Head, and like the different ways it can be set up. They have become somewhat rare these days.

Also, I noticed a Sun Drop head in there as well, I think you are very well set up as far as the McGizmo system goes with this kit.

Yes, I think they stopped making the Ti VME head. Really sorry that I didn't pick one up when I had the chance. Perhaps they'll do another run one day.

Thanks RedLed. As you can see I have room for one more head. Thinking of a 6v XP-G2 Haiku head. Reeeeaaaally thinking of a 6v XP-G2 Haiku head. Love the avatar by the way. Who says flashlights aren't sexy.

I wish I had bought a spare once I found out what could be done with them. I too, hope they will do another run.

That setup with a Malkoff Drop in has to be one of the most indestructible flashlights ever made, like NASA standards.

Paul, you have created an awesome Gizmo pack. Id say your gonna need a bigger Pelican case. I have a feeling your not finished yet.

I was looking at your pics and I can't believe how the xpg2 is so close to the sundrop in color rendering. I had the xpg and swapped it out for an XPG2 Q2 7C4 the other day. I love it even more now. If it had the tint of your XPG2, I wouldn't have even bothered. My XPG was too cool and "bluish." ... Same with my XML. Your pics are making me want to update my heads.

murrydan, I love the baby pic! Start em off young..haha.

Thanks Jason. I'm very happy with my "Gizmo pack". I had to sell off a lot of flashlights to put this together. Don't tell my wife but I spent more than I made selling. Sshhhh! The XP-G2 seems to satisfy the tint snobs and the lumen junkies. I don't know if it is a specific bin that Don was able to get but I really like this emitter. I believe the Haikus and Sundrop have satisfied my McGizmo appetite for now. We will see what Don offers down the road.

Do you have the Special driver from that guy in LA, the Thorpe MIP hex drivers, spare clip and screws? This should complete your McGiz kit!

Special driver ??? Is this an LED driver? I need a special driver!!! How does one find the guy in possession of these drivers???? :) ...seriously, I've been trying to find a 14mm driver for a while now.

I agree, the extra clip, screws and MIP hex would be a good addition. Maybe add a couple O-rings (head & tail) and a boot to be thorough :) .. But, as it is, it's a nice little kit. I'd love to have the same set-up. Maybe someday.
