Got these both about the same time recently. I've been really enjoying the small form factor of a AAA duel fuel EDC light

A M61L 219B V3. Ilumn still had a few, and I found a spare host during my move, so I just couldn't help myself. Need to grab some grip rings, though, and maybe a metal bezel.

Time to revive this one! Decided to try out Budget offerings.
So a few days back I purchased a Convoy T3.
Titanium light with a metal tailcap switch.
Then purchased a tiny almost handful of Sofrin models.
(New to both brands.) Sofrin IF22A, one of those. Pocket thrower.
But Sofrin warns on their website, it might have a crack in the lens.
Apparently a common issue with that model. What to do?
Obvious answer, get another Budget Pocket thrower of course!

One without that possible issue. Do some research. Back to Convoy!
'Bout an hour ago, Purchased Convoy M1 w/ 6500K SST40 emitter.
Bit less throw than the Osram version. But big jump in lumens.
As far as the SST40 will project, you'll be able to see more clearly.

So, I have an M1 on the way. Along with a T3 that already arrived.
Well, can you guys guess what's missing in-between the 1 and 3?
Yup! Using Flashaholic logic, I just had to get the Convoy S2+.
And I did! Right before posting this. Good deal too. Under $16.oo
(No battery, pretty much nothing except the light and a lanyard.)
Still a sweet deal. More of a general beam flashlight.
Not a dedicated thrower. Also SST40, but in 5000K.

Oh yeah, also picked up a shiny Stainless Steel clip for my T3.
(Sadly, no Titanium clip available. And a black clip for the M1).
Both bezel-down carry. So that's how I went from zero Sofrin.
And zero Convoy to six in total (three each) in a few days.

Another wallet lost in the pursuit of fun with lumens. Welcome to the budget rabbit hole, Monocrom

I'll take your cue and drop my own contribution: I purchased a Convoy S3* (of course) with a 719A emitter, because it was on sale, I had a bit of cash to spare, one battery lying around not in a flashlight, and I wanted to find out how this new emitter behaved.

Turns out, despite the 719A being flat-domed, it's very floody on this shallow emitter, with a generous wide hotspot. And despite being allegedly 2700K CCT like my S2+ SST20 and my Sofirn SP40 XP-L HD headlamp, it is significantly warmer than both of them - in fact it's the warmest LED torch I own, bar none. Very very happy with it. The torch itself is extremely pocket-friendly, grippy without being abrasive, and the steel bezel is a tough cookie that won't dent with a drop like my other lights. (It's only cosmetic damage, doesn't affect their function or the fit of the lens, but it annoys me.)

*: Compared to the S2+, it's about 1mm shorter, square-knurled instead of diamond, has an integrated shelf instead of a pill, and has the mentioned steel bezel.

Very nice!
Also, this Rabbit Hole is fun!
I can buy enough lights to equip an entire Army, to take over the world!
Or at least Canada.
"Mmm.... Are those new trees, Canada? You're looking REAL good, Canada."

Possibly the most fun I've had with a flashlight lately - a very handy little kit. The simple UI includes memory. Twist turn-on is easily activated one handed and prevents accidental activations with push button type switches (add a tiny bit of Super Lube to the threads to facilitate rotation). I carry with the included split ring attached to the flashlight and a #2 S-Biner attached to the belt loop of whatever trau I'm wearing. Uses common AAA batteries but recommend eneloop. The neato diffuser is the cherry on top. The only upgrade I could think of would be a neutral tint emitter vs. the cool tint it has now.

Right now it was a LED Lenser P7R signature and has taken the role of my main light for a while, however I recently started using my somewhat recently purchased Streamlight Sidewinder, the 2007-2009 era one with the old LED in it, and now that has taken my role as EDC for it's versatility and durability, so I think I'll be purchasing a more recent model with the C4 LED in it this week, just can't decide between the normal red, blue, IR or the rescue model.

In the traditional CPF mode... can't decide? Get them all! :)

I had picked up a couple of recent flashlights. I picked up a Malkoff MDC in AA for a common use low lumen runner that can even run alkies. Then I picked up a Surefire EDC1 Turbo to find out what the hype is all about. (still waiting for the postal service to deliver it).

Not quite a flashlight, but a Magicshine Ray 1600B bike headlight which has 2 SST-40 LEDs, one under your typical horizontally diffused bike beam optic and the other is a pretty standard optic without a beam cutoff. You can toggle between just the bike style beam and both together by double clicking on any button on the light or on the circle button on the included wireless remote.

Having a wireless remote is so nice and you can also connect to the light with their app and somewhat program the output settings. Mine is set to just have 2 settings on the bike optic mode and 2 on the dual LED mode to keep operation nice and simple. This way I can just single click the circle button on the remote to toggle between low and high outputs and double click toggles between single LED and dual LED. The other button on the remote can't be changed, but always goes to full 1600 lumens with both LEDs.

I'm liking the light a lot so far, but those SST-40s have crappy tint and CRI and I'm not a modder nor do I want to spend more on the light than I already have.

Pelican M6 LED because it was an American made light that I could mod.

I ordered a Seraph from LF to lego and upgrade cheaply.

I just got a surefire kx4. Nib. This thing must've been surprising when it came out as a replacement for the 60 lumen Incan lamp. It's a flood monster. But kinda fun to walk around with. Very cool though

I just got my Acebeam Tac AA with a 5000K 519A yesterday and an Eagtac D25AAA with a 5700K 519A today.

I was drawn to the Tac AA by the beamshots I've seen online and man, for a AA/14500 light with a 519A, this thing throws a pretty good distance. I can imagine the other LED option would be one hell of a pocket rocket! It's a bit on the longer side and I see a lot of people complaining about that, "it might as well be 18650" but it'd be even longer with the same reflector setup and much heavier. As is, it's actually pretty lightweight and feels great in the hand. I'm not crazy about having 4 modes with mode memory however, especially on a "tactical" light. I think either a programmable model or just a 2 mode version would be an absolute knockout, but as is, it's still a decent light with an amazing beam.

Eagletac used to be my favorite brand, but they've kind of fallen off the map to/with the community. I check them out every now and then to see if anything catches my interest. I came across a light that caught my interest and in doing some research learned that you can message Eagtac on Ali and request another LED. Being my indecisive self, I couldn't decide what LED I wanted. CPF logic says buy them both, but that's a bit more than I wanted to spend, so I ordered 2 different, but cheaper lights to see how I like the LEDs from Eagtac's supplier.

The first light I got was the D25AAA with a 5700K 519A. I kind of always wanted to get one of these a long time ago, but never did. In all honesty, it's nowhere near the brightest AAA light at 79 lumens nor is it the dimmest or longest running at about 6 lumens for 6 hours, but I honestly am liking it so far. The 5700K 519A is absolutely beautiful and pairs nicely with the light's optic, which is pretty comparable to the Sofirn's C01S optic, but a larger hotspot due to the 519A. The pocket clip is pretty nice too and has a decent magnet in the tailcap, but I suspect the tail might be glued, not that that bothers me. It is also 10440 capable, but it has to be a button top cell, which I don't have. I'll probably try a runtime test on low to see if it performs any better than advertised.

I purchased another Peak SS Eiger but this time with an Ultra head and man I am glad I did. The throw is unreal on a standard AAA battery, when using a 3.7v 10440 I can go deer spotting. I am always drawn to USA made products from small businesses that offer quality machining and build quality. I got some 519a 5000k and sw45k LEDs coming in that I will send to Peak for some more builds. Here it is next to my copper pineapple mini with a dedomed 519a 4000k
