3W AA multi mode driver from DX ???

I just received 5 of these http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=3151 And so far I have tried 2 of them. Same results nothing. The only pics I can find are on the original sales page at DX. The pics clearly show the red and black wires. I assume these are the wires to go to the LED. I'm guessing here but I think the + from the battery goes to that spring in the middle and the - goes to the trace around the outer rim of the board. I have been using a Li-Ion for power in my tests. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

There seem to be QC problems with the batch being sold now, the blue ones. I have used a lot of them from a previous batch (white njg-18) and they work perfectly.

Even worse is that I contacted jerry@KD some weeks back to warn him about this fault on their drivers...

...he denies there is a fault and even that he tested all KD's stock as fully working?!?

Let this be a lesson to people about how shady KD can be, avoid buying from there if at all possible.

Same problem for driver coming from DX... But they kindly sent me a replacement one :wave:

And the patch of the driver works very well (and easy to do)

That was easy!!! Thanks for the link. I tried it on one board and it worked like a charm. :thumbsup:

Curious though how the traces on the board became that way. It sure looks on purpose. However there is no disputing the results of shunting across those two points.
