I have been playing around with this prototype spotlight for a couple of days. The LED array has 19 across and 17 down. It was designed to be used for landscaping applications.

It's a fun light and an indication that LED market is moving very quickly to high power.

I was told that they used a lower power diode from Samsung orginally and then some chips from Taiwan and since then in the past year they have moved up to the higher power Cree chips.

This design is an older unit.

Looks interesting. Is it actually a spot? Looks more like a flood light to me.

They call it a spotlight but you are correct it is meant to light up landscaping.
I will take pics when I can sorry for the delay.

Thanks
John

Here is a shot of the beam. I will take one outside once I get a decent extension cord. Sorry for the delay.

Looks like a decent work lamp. :D

Have you got any idea about the price level on this one? I guess 323 LEDs don't come cheap...

I know that this one was $500 when it was in production but it is a year old. I don't think they make this one anymore. The newer units use the Higher power Cree chips and it has a different design.

It is a good work light but the plug is not very long.

Not a bad price for what you get IMO. Can it be run for say 8+ hours straight? How much heat does it produce?
And, who is this "they" who make it? I'm slightly interested in buying this product.

Yes it can. They have developed a patented heat distribution mechanism so heat is always balanced. This technology is also working well with street lights.

The company that makes these is called Big bright lighting. They are located in China. They are are selling in China but are not in here in the US quite yet.

We will be carrying these types of products soon.

Thanks
John
