Has it ever been thought of before to ask Mark if he could find or make a selection of bi pin bulbs that we can use for all out FM and other bipin light adapters. Especially now the battery technology has moved up amd some cells have much higher current draw available.

it would be nice to get a new version of the 1111 and 1185

not talking 100s of different ones but a selection of....

what do you guys want and how many wod you buy? we could make it worth his while? I know he makes the bulbs?

what do you think ? ideas please 🙏 🙂

I would be interested in something like a 20 watt lamp that would work in a Mag Charger without modifications. I'd probably not hesitate to buy 5-10 of them if they weren't too expensive.

Lumens factory makes Xenon bulbs only while WA1111 and WA1185 are Halogen.
Most of CPFers like Halogens.
There are other Halogen aftermarket bulbs to use instead of WA1111

M*gCharger has 8W (older model) or 11W (newer model) bulb and 20watt bulb will destroy plastic reflector if runs continuously long.

I've asked them before. They don't have any interest in offering bare bulbs. The hom6r and especially imrM6 bulbs would be great. My only issue is their shipping prices make purchasing there a problem.

I did think of that but I wasn't sure if it would be an issue. Fortunately I've found that the KD MOP aluminum reflector for regular Mags actually works fine in the MC, albeit slightly skewing the lamp because of the way the cam pushes on just one side instead of both. However, I was able to intentionally tweak the bulb to compensate for that, so the end result is perfectly centered. Oh, and the larger hole means there's probably some loss of light output, but I doubt it's very much. Should be good to go for 20 watt bulbs just by using a KD reflector. Of course one of your proper reflectors would be better.

Do you have any recommendations for halogen lamps that are still available?
