If you follow Wayne's forum you know I have
been trying to get him to build a 2C Luxeon
for about 2 years. It sure makes sense after
the 2AA XM-3 was so popular.

Well, take a look at the alx-1218c on Nuwai's site.

1 Watt w/ 6 5mm LEDs and it takes 2 C cells.

I don't remember seeing any online retailers offering this light though.

Roy, where did you see that?

There are only two Pelican 2C lights that I know of, the 1800 and 1820. They have ABS bodies and twist-heads. Unfortunately they use xenon lamp assemblies, not LEDs. Maybe someone could make a drop-in for them? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have made photo of the flashlight and one of the discharge curve.

First photo is the flashlight in it's original packaging. It's a very nice packaging full of information. It includes a nylon holster which fits the flashlight perfectly. A wrist lanyard is attached to the flashlight but you can detach it if you don't like it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Here you go : photo of the flashlight in it's packaging.

Second photo is of the discharge curve which is printed on the back side of the packaging. It indicates 10 hours until the light output drops to 50% compared to fresh batteries. During those test regular Duracell alkaline cells have been used. Photo of the discharge curve.

Since there isn't a lot information available about these flashlights, I will start a new thread about it soon. In the first post I will try to give all information about these great Aurora flashlights (including comparing beamshots + lux readings (got my LM631 lightmeter a few weeks ago /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif )).
