I am in the look for a 300 lumen's light that is about the same size as the TK11.

Any thing like that out there?

Thank You.

Anything with a P7 or MC-E will easily make 300 plus out the front lumens. Even the less expensive variations at Deal Extreme. The MTE with a P7 is just awesome and 500 plus lumens.

If you want to keept it thin and compact than a Surefire 6P can be stuffed with a Gene Malkoff P60 MC-E with and make over 500 lumens.:twothumbs

What was your price range??????????

I'm curious, what's so special about 300 lumens that makes it your criteria?

I'm not aware of any single die emitters that can hit that kind of output reliably and all of the MC-E's and P7's do more than that easily.
Are you just chasing numbers?
What do you have now for comparison?

Money is not a limitation for me. I just want something that is 300+ that is compact and can give me a good run time.
How about a Milkyspit? WHat do I need to do to get a Milkyspit light mod?

TIA!

No I am not chasing numbers I have a Jet-III M and a TK11 R2 they are grate lights but I have a customer that is in the look for a compact size 300+ lumen's and I want to help him get what he needs. I have show him the Tiablo ACE, JetBeam MX1, etc.... and he dont like the size... Eventually if he does not find a 300+ compact he will go with a Jett-III M.

Thank you for the help.

That's pretty much exactly what I thought.
You won't notice any practical difference if I could wave my magic wand over both of those lights and make them output 300 lumens.
The human eye doesn't work like that.

Off the top of my head I would steer your customer towards a Milky Roomsweeper if he really needs something that is 'noticeably' brighter than either of your lights and also very compact.
There are many compromises to having 300+ lumens and compact so do some reading/searching.

Thank you I will go on the hunt for a Milky Room Sweeper.

Ohh, I nearly forgot about Gene!

He's making an MC-E drop-in for Surefire hosts.
That could be another good option.

There is one: The Sunlite Eagle 8w Far Projection. It is advertised at 300+. See the review. And these are Torch lumens, not at the emitter. This light is designed for Far Projection. If you are seeking floody/medium throw, most P7 or MC-E lights will suffice.

Just want to add, if your customer is looking for 300+L because he wants to see further than the TK11 or JetBeamIII-M, than a P7/MC-E light will not cut it. The multi-die emitters offer tons of output like previously mentioned, but they lack the throw needed to see downrange.

If your customer is trying to see 150+yards away, than an R2 or Q5 behind a proper reflector or aspheric lens is what you will want.

No, not really.

Any Q5 or R2 light will be below 300 lumens, but you can get good throw with some of them.

Using a P7 or MC-E you can get 500+ lumens, but the throw is usual lower then a Q5 or R2 light.

The multi-die MC-E and P7 won't put out much throw in a reflector that size. I can think of 2 single die LEDs capable of 300+ bulb lumens.

A "U bin" luxeon K2 TFFC could probably hit 300lm @ 1.5A which is within spec. These are pretty hard to come by, although some people have managed to get their hands on them.

The Osram diamond dragon can easily exceed this with currently available bins but this has a slightly larger 2mm^2 die. I think it would have decent throw compared to the P7/MC-E in that size of reflector.

Milky's Creemator puts out 300+ lumens running on 2 CR123's.

Thank You all! I sent my E2DL to Milkyspit for a custom built. I hope my client like this mod if he does not like this mod I dont think there is nothing out there for him.. :p

Howdy XD9,
For a new member, I think you made a smart move having Milkyspit mod your client's light. Milky is known for his extremely high quality builds. Please let us know how it turns out.

At the emitter? or out the front? an over-driven cree q5 or r2 should be good for ~300 at the emitter. You wont loose the throw you would with a multi-die emitter.
