Looking for a single cell AA light, i have the Nitecore D10 and the Jetbeam I.B.S. but I am looking for something brighter, like the Jetbeam but with a less complicate switch. I thought about the wolf eyes Angel but not sure?

You could try the Fenix L2D Q5, which on turbo is a bit brighter than the lights you mention. The JetBeam Jet-1 IBS is one of the brightest lights out there, but the Jet-1 Pro IBS is brighter...

Your JB is about as bright as 1-AA gets. Either step up to more voltage or just use what you've got..................and I'd use the D10 IIWY

You will probably find you can only get so much brightness out of a AA unless you go to a 14500 which is about 3 times the voltage. None of my AA lights and that's quite a few now - are as bright as ones running CR123's, 14500's or RCR123's or larger Li-Ions. So unless you go to two AA's or more you may be maxed out with what you have. Have you tried a 14500 Li-Ion in your D10? It will be brighter.

Given the lights listed in his sig... I'd say that he's already "stepped up to more voltage." :naughty:

But, I'll echo the other posters. There's currently no other light that drives 1aa as hard as your jetbeam...

I would second that nothing in the mass market drives an LED harder on 1AA right now than the JetBeam IBS. Among all the 1AA lights I've tested, my two Jet-I MK IBS lights are the brightest, on both NiMH and 14500 (noticeably brighter than the Fenix in fact - see my 1AA round-up review in my sig for output/runtimes).

Oddly, my Jet-I PRO IBS did less than the original Jet-I MK IBS - actually pretty close to the Fenix (you can its review here). Not sure if that just reflects Vf variation, or if the IBS circuit has undergone some revision to max output. The IBS ramp sequence on NiMH and 50% levels have been fixed in the Jet-I PRO IBS, for ex., so obviously some changes to the circuit have taken place.

+1

It's just too bad that the switch is such a crappy thing to behold.

I also have the LF5XT which has a beautiful beam, and of course, quite a capable UI. But the JB I IBS is simpler and is still a great light, and I think the IBS UI is one of the best on the market. It's reasonably simple, yet as versatile as it needs to be.

It's just too bad about that crappy switch, and I'll bet that the switch was the reason that the light was discontinued.

I know that the IBS is probably the brightest i just meant a single AA between the D10 brightness and the IBS, so sometihng between 130 lumens and under the IBS

Beats me man, it sounds like you've got the AA thing pretty well covered?
