I've finally found more people like me who appreciate a good flashlight. My wife thinks I'm obsessed with flashlights. She just doesn't understand how awesome it is to press the tailcap of a SureFire and turn darkness into day. Lol.

Anyways, I recently purchased a Fenix TK10 and as soon as it arrives, I'm going to do a video compairison of it and my SureFire Kroma. I have yet to see a good video review of the Kroma so I've decided to make one myself.

;)

My wife don't understand why I buy stuffs. Well, you know, I don't understand about why she buy expensive powder that smells funny and not even glow in the dark. LOL. But it's OK as long as we keep our budget at reasonable level.

Let us know when you finsh the comparision video. I can't wait to watch it.

Well, I salute your enthusiasm! But please be prepared for underwhelming interest from your wife. It's like that memory I have of kindergarten show-and-tell and being disappointed that everyone else wasn't as interested in my favorite book as I was. But don't be discouraged!

:welcome:

Maybe not so good an idea to show your wife. She might start blaming us for the next 100 purchases you'll make. :nana:

LOL. If she thought you were obsessed with flashlights before, she is going to think you have gone off the deep end when you start doing videos about your flashlights.

Welcome to the club.

:welcome: I'm glad to see I'm not the only one trying to make the other half understand what seems normal to me

One of my worst nightmares involves my wife discovering CPF...
I'm not sure what your nightmare is--that she'll think you need to be put away permanently after discovering all of us weird flashaholics, or else she actually likes lights so much that she takes over all of your lights as her own.

My goodness, what would I do if my wife suddenly said that my beloved Milky mods were now hers? :mecry:

Relax. If that happens, you got very good reason to buy another one. If she claims your new light, then you can get your old one back. Now, that's bright side. If the wife is a heavenly creature that is above all, and she will surely beat a hell out of you, my friend, my condolences.

LOL! Thanks for the hospitality, everyone. I appreciate it. Yea, I was reading some of the forums in here and there are ALOT of other flashlights that I'm wanting to buy, now. Lol. Especially since I'm in the military. You can never have too many flashlights.

I'm going to try and take my wife camping this weekend once my new light arrives. She's not a fan of the dark--especially after watching "Last House On The Left" last weekend. So we'll see what she thinks of an Uber Bright light once we're in the middle of pitch black woods. :D

I'm very curious about those MagMods that I've read about in other posts. Makes me want to dig out my old MagLite and drop $100 in upgrades. Although, I'm more of a smaller light fan. We'll see.

:welcome:

I hope you like the light!

I'd love to see the video when you get it!

As for the wife thing, I can't comment, not for a few years at least.

Hey guys. Guess what was waiting for me in the mail box when I got off work today? My new Fenix TK10!! Luckily I had stopped at a PX on Fort Bragg and purchased a dozen SureFire C123 batteries because the light didn't come with any.

Needless to say, I'm impressed. After installing a couple of batteries, I took the light out back and tried it in both 'General' and 'Turbo' modes. Wow. That's all I can say.

I'm going camping this weekend and will be bringing my camera so I can make a comparison video between it and my SureFire Kroma. I'll try and get a couple of targets and have them set up at different intervals. Maybe one at 5m, 10m, 15m and 25m away. If any of you guys have any suggestions as to what you'd like to see in the video, feel free to post and I'll try to accomidate as much as possible.
