OK.. I have been reading allot on the CPF threads these days, but there are allot of terms that I don't understand. If anyone can think of any abbreviations that are used and spell them out for me that would be awesome!

CPF-Cadlepower forums (Duh!)
LOL-Laugh out loud
IMHO-In my honest/humble opinion
IMO-In my opinion
Lux-Lumens per square meter (An actual technical term)
LED-Light Emitting Diode
SSC-Seoul Semiconductor, a LED manufacturer. Usually referring to their P4 LED, which is based on the Cree die
Cree-Not really an abbreviation, but a commonly used term. A LED manufacturer. Usually referring to the Xlamp 7090 XR-E, a very efficient LED.
Milky/Milky mod-Referring to Milkyspit, a modder who is held in very high regard on CPF, or one of his mods.

I'm sure there are many I have forgotten, but they are some.

every day carry

Say how small the light in question is
(or how crazy the guy boosting that large, heavy ultrabright light for really taking it with him all day) ;)

Acronyms, not abbreviations. Sorry to be a nazi about it, but I had to!

[pedantic rant]
Well seeing as you started it ;) ...

They are abbreviations, i.e. shortened forms of words of phrases BUT most are not strictly speaking acronyms (where the abbreviation is pronounced as a word e.g NATO - tell me again how to pronounce SSC ), and are actually initialisms.

[/pedantic rant]

Uh... you mean SL for Streamlight, not SF... right?

BTW (By The Way), FWIW = For What It's Worth.

And...

PK = Photon King! Generally refers to Paul Kim, VP of Engineering (or something like that) for SureFire, all-around crazy cool dude, and a high-profile supporter of CPF. A true flashaholic celebrity! :)
